Application of total contact cast. (A) Felt padding (‘D-filler’) is placed under medial longitudinal arch (except in cases of severe ‘rockerbottom’ deformity). (B) Cotton tube bandage is applied to protect lower limb and foot. (C) Silicone strips are applied over bony prominences. (D) Plaster of paris inner layer is applied.
